Rhode Island Interfaith Power &
Light has a simple goal: to encourage faith-based stewardship of Creation by
promoting energy conservation, energy efficiency, and clean, renewable energy
production. This ministry intends to protect the earth’s atmosphere and its
ecosystems, safeguard public health, and ensure sufficient, sustainable and
affordable energy for all.
As
a spiritual leader(s) of ______________________, I/we pledge to support the
goals of Rhode Island Interfaith Power & Light in doing one or more of the
following:

Engage in an
ongoing process of education within our organization concerning
environmental stewardship, energy production and usage in relation to global

Conduct an energy
audit of our buildings to identify sources of energy waste and potential

improvements to our organization’s buildings.
o
Utilize
renewable energy by purchasing
green power, installing solar panels, or contributing to a wind turbine fund.

Analyze, reduce and offset our greenhouse gas emissions
with the goal of becoming a non-polluting organization.

policies that contribute to

o Make some financial or in-kind donation of time
or assistance to RI-IPL.
